NJDEP and New Jersey Conservation Foundation invite the community to mark the planting of Trenton's 1,000th shade tree through the Throwin' Shade: Greening the Capital City project.
Brief remarks begin at Mercer Cemetery, 43 South Clinton Avenue, at 11:30 AM. A ceremonial planting follows outside the Board of Public Utilities building at 44 South Clinton Avenue. The program ends at 12:30 PM.
No RSVP is required. Street parking is metered. Event-specific accessibility details have not been supplied.
The project is funded through NJDEP's Natural Climate Solutions Grant Program and involves NJCF, the City of Trenton, Isles, New Jersey Tree Foundation, The Watershed Institute and Outdoor Equity Alliance. Host credits describe this event and do not imply state endorsement of NJ Climate Week.
