Explore habitat restoration at Scudder Preserve with Monmouth Conservation Foundation, September 29, 10 AM–noon. Parking limited to 10 vehicles.
Join Monmouth Conservation Foundation for a guided walk through Scudder Preserve's meadow, woodland, wetland and old-growth forest habitats. Learn about habitat restoration, ecological health and climate resilience, with stops including the turtle pond, nest boxes, rain garden and American chestnut saplings.
The program runs 10 AM–noon on September 29; the walking portion is approximately 1.5 hours. Bring water and binoculars. All ages and hiking abilities are welcome, but the route includes a quarter-mile uphill section. A portable restroom is on site.
Follow the gravel driveway at 85 Browns Dock Road and park near the main house. Event parking is limited to 10 vehicles. The organizer directs registration through its event directory; check there for current program availability and registration instructions before traveling.
