Hands-on ecological restoration with Friends of Princeton Open Space: invasive removal, native planting, and caging at Mountain Lakes and Community Park North.
Friends of Princeton Open Space runs hands-on land stewardship sessions at its restoration sites: a 25-acre riparian project along Mountain Lake and a 45-acre forest restoration area at Community Park North.
Volunteers remove invasive plants, install protective cages around native species, and plant native fall plants. This date has a morning session from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and an afternoon session from 1:00 to 3:00 PM; attend either or both. Groups are welcome.
Meet at the Mountain Lakes House parking lot. Online registration is required, and a volunteer waiver must be completed annually at fopos.org/waiver.
