A daylong Rutgers-Camden conference on climate resilience, workforce development, and collaboration across business, education, nonprofits, and government.
The Northern and Central New Jersey Chapter of the Air & Waste Management Association and Rutgers School of Business-Camden are holding their fourth annual fall sustainability conference. The 2026 theme is Building Resilient Communities, with a focus on collaborative solutions that do not leave overburdened communities behind as organizations respond to climate change and emerging industries such as artificial intelligence.
Matthew Tejada, Senior Vice President at NRDC, and Trina Ellis, Vice President of Human Resources at Reworld, are the keynote speakers. The program also includes technical sessions on climate resilience and workforce development, a video message from U.S. Senator Andy Kim, ten themed roundtable discussions, and a student poster session.
Tickets range from $45 to $125. New Jersey American Water sponsored the first large block of student seats. Through the Sponsor a Student program, students and residents of overburdened communities may attend free as space allows. Attendees can add a $40 sponsored ticket when purchasing their own ticket, and conference sponsorship opportunities begin at $400.
