Climate action that isn't accessible isn't community action. Here's what we do about that, on this site and at events.
We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA. Concretely, that means the site supports full keyboard navigation with visible focus, a skip-to-content link, semantic landmarks and heading structure, form errors announced and linked to their fields, sufficient color contrast (we verify our brand palette's combinations rather than assume them), reduced-motion support, and descriptive link text and alt text.
The site is tested with automated checks in continuous integration and manual keyboard and screen-reader passes on major pages. We publish known issues instead of hiding them; none are currently recorded, and this page will list any that are.
Every event listing includes an accessibility summary written by its host: wheelchair access, interpretation, captioning, and sensory considerations. Filters let you show only wheelchair-accessible events. Hosts get an accessible event checklist at proposal time, and accessibility sponsorship underwrites ASL interpretation and captioning for free public programs.
Accommodation requests for a specific event go to its host through the registration contact on the listing; if you hit a wall, we'll help you route it.
